Tilford

These are held at the Old Kiln Museum (also known as the Rural Life Centre), on the The Reeds Road, halfway between Tilford and Millbridge, on the third Monday of each month. The site is quite extensive, so if you are coming for the first time, you need to look for the Old Village Hall on your right hand side past the cafe, and before the track bends to the right. Members pay £1.50 per visit to cover hall hire and tea and coffee costs. There is free parking available in the museum car park (a bit of a trek from the car park if your spinning wheel is heavy). There are tea and coffee making facilities in the hall (but no sink). The hall can be quite cold in the winter, especially early in the day, so warm clothing is advised. Toilets are in a separate building. Members bring a packed lunch, because the museum cafe is closed on the days we have spinning there. There is a large floor loom on display in the hall.
